Review of I'm Still Here (2010) by Nicholas D — 28 Jan 2011

So I watched about an hour of this documentary about one of the greatest actors of out times. And when I was done I was so dissapointed at what I saw. Here was a guy, 2 time oscar nominated actor, great depth in his characters that he played, just pissed his life away, and on what, a BS rap career that we all know will never go anywhere.

Directed by Casey Affleck, brother of crap actor Ben Affleck. The crew follows Juaquin around as he tries to make his mark in the rap business, when all he is showing us is how much of a drug addict he is, the prostitutes he pays for and the celebs he is pissing off in the mean time.

Very sad to be honest. Did he not learn anything from his brothers shocking death in the early 90's, actor River Phoenix.

If you want to see a depressing film about a once great actor turned into a mess, then this is it. If you want to remember him as a once great actor, then stay clear of this film. You may still ber here Joaquin, but you are not the same person you once were.
