Review of I'm Still Here (2010) by Luke M — 29 Jul 2011
A fascinating mockumentary...the fact that this is a performance from Pheonix shows that Pheonix can give one of the best performances of the decade; he took his role to the real world, not just simply in a film.
It's remarkable portrayal of an artist gone mad just really drives home the philosophical themes of celebrities in today's society and the way we view and judge them. I found this film to be simply artistic and the fact that we aren't sure if it was all real and the hoax is simply a hoax for hoax and that this indeed happened to Pheonix makes more intrigue than ever.
Interesting film. B+.
