Review of I'm Still Here (2010) by Miss Chanandler B — 16 Sep 2011
Positive:
Well. Cudos to Joaquin for doing this as it WAS a big risk and made a LOT of people dislike him. It had 2 or 3 moments where I felt genuinely sorry for him as you see his dream crashing down and no one really understands how he's feeling nor do they seem to care. It was funny and got better as it went along. It does what it says on the tin. It follows the break down of a successful film star. Which, even though it could have been one better, is a good idea for a flick.
Negative:
It started off very boring and hadn't changed much by the end. The hoax clearly wasn't pulled off. The point of the film seemed to be that you feel sorry for the guy however he comes off as such a dick that it's hard to feel bad for him. You can't hear whats going on for a lot of it. Only just for that 3/5.
