Review of I'm Not There (2007) by The M — 26 Mar 2009
I really don't care for Bob Dylan. And now that I sit down and actually think about it, the idea of someone making a cinematic shrine in his honor, depicting him as some sort of mystical , esoteric, Dalai Lama/Buddha figure is beyond absurd.
So, why was this movie so good? Three words: Ledger. Blanchette. Cross. The cinematography and art direction aren't bad either. Does this change my opinion on Dylan, himself? Not really.
