Review of I'm Not There (2007) by Lee B — 12 Apr 2009
I know that people will think badly of me for this, but I didn?t get this movie. I know they were stories inspired by the events of Bob Dylan?s life without anyone being Bob Dylan, but I still just didn?t get it in terms of it being a great movie.
I love the director. His last movie that?s name is escaping me right now is a gorgeous movie. This one allows him to show off his visual chops, but doesn?t bring me into the stories much. It has good performances and glad to hear the music and see scenes recreated ? especially the folk festival, but I?m a little more on the negative side than impartial.
I couldn?t recommend.
