Review of I'm Not There (2007) by Ro T — 22 Aug 2009
This can be very confusing if you don't have a past steeped in Dylan legend.
"What ya got in that there case, boy?" "Nothing.".
The film starts as nothing and twists that nothing into an enigma of life at the top, or bottom, or watermelon...
With six amazing actors portraying Dylan, and Charlotte Gainsbourg as his beautiful wife, the film is permeated with talent. Cate Blanchett stands out as the epitome of the enigmatic personas of Dylan, stealing the show from the rest of the attempts.
It's good, it's bad, it's not here, it's not there.
