Review of I'm Not Ashamed (2016) by Michael L — 20 Oct 2016
We watched an early preview of I'm Not Ashamed and we were positively blown away. The movie is based on Rachel Joy Scott's journals that she left behind. I was a young adult when Columbine happened and for historical reasons only it would be worth seeing.
The way Rachel's family chose to show Rachel the way she really was, struggles and all, has tremendous impact to help teens and adults not feel so alone in their day to day trials. It is an inspiration that the family took 17 years and stuck with it to get it done.
This movie has such HEART. You will be happy to get to know this girl. If you have teens drag them to the theater if you have to. She was brave and is a hero. She cared for others.
