Review of I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK (2006) by Alister N — 21 May 2008
Despite having finished with his Vengeance Trilogy, from the bravado credit sequence it's clear there's still plenty of juice in South Korea's most exciting director. The quirky setting, a girl in a psychiatric ward thinks she's a cyborg, gives Park plenty of scope for his fantastic visual escapsim without ever trading pure comedy for pathos or sincerity.
We care about these crazies no matter how inaccurate or fanciful they seem.
