Review of I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK (2006) by Aaron L — 18 Sep 2011
In his follow up the Vengeance Trilogy, we get the ridiculously quirky and off-beat romantic comedy I'm a Cyborg and That's OK. Young-goon is a woman who thinks she is a cyborg, and in turns has dark fantasies about murdering the staff and trying to give her granny the dentures she forgot.
The film drags a lot in places, with a few funny moments. A lot of the filler is the crazy people in the sanitarium, especially the opening when we discover the person giving the tour is one of the patients. The ending in the cafeteria is definitely the best part, but this overly weird and flashy film is not for everyone. In my opinion, it's Chan-Wook Park's worst film. (not necessarily a bad thing).
