Review of I'll Sleep When I'm Dead (2003) by John M — 28 Jan 2008
A well-made, extra dark drama that deserves more attention than it's received, but I didn't care for it. Many complain about the slow pacing, but I feel that is a positive, as it adds to the gloomy atmosphere.
All the performances are acted finely, but all played so coldly that I could not connect with any of them. I love Clive Owen, he was the reason that I got the movie, but he's really spacy for most of the movie.
It is a well done movie, but I really didn't like the way it made me feel, the subject matter, and all the icy characters. There; a very conflicted review.
