Review of I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer (2006) by Archduke P — 10 Nov 2007

I really wanted to like this as I thought the previous two were entertaining as hell and back when I saw those I was buzzing with anticipation for the future as I thought a new slasher generation was born.

Thanks to Scream and the like but, I was kinda wrong since it did not last that long. Now fast forward 7 years to the torture/porn generation of horror and we have a third instalmet to the once great salsher franchise IKWUDLS and it is an absolute let down.

The directing made the fim feel like a really badly made pop video. The acting was almost worse. I miss Jennifer Love Hewitt!!! David Paetkau was great in Final Destination 2 and Torrey Devitto can scream all she likes and is usually good, but here they failed.

Maybe it was the script they were given, maybe not. There was a story in there somewhere too, well basically the same as the first. The ending is shit. I don't mean to swear in a review, but WTF? spoiler ahead!!!: A ghost, was it a ghost or spirit? It was not scary at all.

I hated to hate it and I hope this brings an end to the franchise. Like I said, I loved and still love the first 2, but this was a let down....
