Yet another masterpiece from Kurosawa. The movie itself was an amazing multi-faceted meditation on life. The imagery of the beauracratic system at work is very telling on how Kurosawa felt about modern life.
The wake scene is probably among one of the greatest scenes I've seen in a movie.
