Review of Ikiru (1952) by Cecilia K — 12 Jun 2009
I am a fan of Kurosawa, particularly of his samurai, period movies. This one is different as is set in modern times. Still Kurosawa manages to deliver an intense and intimate film. I read somewhere that Kurosawa "goes straight to the heart and speaks to the souls of everyone", I totally agree with that.
