Review of Ikiru (1952) by Jeff B — 02 Dec 2010
Beautiful film by Akira Kurosawa about an old man who knows he is about to die and reflects on his life, realizing he has done nothing with it. Some great scenes including the two incredible moments when he sings the song.
I love the way it shifted ahead about 45 minutes before the film was over. A very good, moving piece by Kurosawa.
