Review of Ikiru (1952) by Nik M — 04 Mar 2016
Ikiru is such a sad movie. From beginning to end, audiences are given an intimate and personal treatment to one of Kurosawa's most misunderstood and abused characters. The heartbreaking emotions encapsulates every scene with enticing detail to cinematography, character interaction, and the existential and self-aware dialogue.
Certainly among Kurosawa's best.
