Review of Igby Goes Down (2002) by Lindsay R — 18 Sep 2008
It is kind of self serving and gets on my nerves, but I really like Kieran Culkin in this movie. I hate movies that try to draw me in with "a modern day Holden Caulfield...," and try to be THE movie that defines a young person striving for identity and purpose.
But this story full of excess, denial, violence, and madness has some moments that have an honesty about them. And Gore Vidal (of course). It was worth watching again.
