Review of Igby Goes Down (2002) by Sam L — 10 Oct 2009
"Igby Goes Down" is just plain weird. & I must be REALLY weird for liking it then.
It's basically the life of a rebellious teenager on the cusp of adulthood running away from his wealthy (& pill-popping) mother while trying to break away from his seemingly perfect elder brother. (Whew, try saying that in one breath.).
It's another one of those quirky little flicks, where the tone of the movie is subtle, yet enraptures audience.
I was just extremely fascinated about little oddities, such as Amanda Peet's boobs, how much Kieran looks like Macaulay, if I like/dislike Claire Danes, how hot Ryan Phillippe is etc etc. It was all too distracting for me.
Hahahahahahahahaha.
