I really wanted to like this movie. The cutting dialogue between the two leads, Xiaoxiao (Shu Qi) and Qin (Ge You), started off as full of wit. However, the story started to really drag around the 2/3 mark and the dialogue became tiresome as it didn't quite make sense to me why they were practically verbally abusing each other.
The happy ending seemed tacked on and really disappointing. Still, Feng Xiaogang is a consummate pro and this film did look good - it just left me hollow at the end.
