Review of If Beale Street Could Talk (2018) by Tropicaces — 20 Dec 2018
Much like “Moonlight”, this features a hypnotic score and beautiful cinematography, not to mention a great supporting turn from a long-under-appreciated actor (Regina King, who is a queen). However just like “Moonlight” the plot leaves one to desire more, and there is never that “gut punch” moment to bring it all home.
