Review of if.... (1968) by Virginia F — 06 Jan 2008
A subversive little stick of dynamite tossed at the British class structure. Some of the self-conscious surrealism feels a bit dated, but otherwise it's still a film that provokes, and that makes it an invaluable time capsule of '60s-era rebellion.
Malcolm McDowell sure is captivating... I'd follow him into guerrilla war, too, if he asked.
