Review of if.... (1968) by Scratch M — 06 Jan 2008
The lighting and cinematrography were more advanced than I was expecting for a 1968 movie. Surprisingly, we didn't get any real backstory on ANY of the characters. Sure, we understood their desires and a certain amount of depth for some of them, but it's as if none of the characters *existed* before they showed up at this snobby, hierarchical school. ... By the way, I'm now even more terrified of British schools than I was before.
I was promised full-frontal nudity and it never happened. Still, the shower scenes were nice to have around for what they were.
