Review of if.... (1968) by Leo B — 01 Feb 2013
A fascinating story, coloured by a (now) seemingly alien school life. Upon first watch it is clearly endlessly quotable. A very creative piece, unique and engaging (which is rarely found with a school backdrop), which is courageously lead by a astounding, young Malcolm McDowell.
The film is fulfilling, although with a slight feeling of the story being cut very abruptly at the end. A unique take on the English private school life, of the time.
