Review of Idlewild (2006) by Ginger L — 05 Jul 2007

Over all, the movie wasn't as good as it coulda' been. I hadn't known it was hip-hop oriented and disappointed they used modern music instead of revitalizing the wonderful music available when the movie was set.

Although I do like some hip-hop/rap, none of this really sounded that good. Over all, the soundtrack was fabulous--but I thought the best songs were in the background, building mood. Thanks to the choreography and costumes, the visuals were quite good.

But in the end, I was quite offended with who they decided had to die off.
