Review of Idiocracy (2006) by Gabriella P — 04 Apr 2010
The premise of the film (future mankind being so stupid an average Joe from our time could rule it) is actually excellent, so is the way it is set up. Sadly, the film doesn't make the most out of it, although a few jokes and ideas are quite hilarious.
There simply would have been potential for more, while the humor aims below the belt a little too often and could have been satire a lot more. Still, worth seeing for a good laugh. I only want to rate it 2.
5, but the Charlie Chaplin joke alone was worth half a star.
