Review of Identity (2006) by James S — 24 Nov 2009
A good, well crafted thriller that pulls you in and holds onto you till the end of the movie.
A great cast, with good performances from Cussack, Molina, Peet, McGinley, and the rest.
Interesting story, I did find parts of this predictable, but not in a bad way. Just when you think you know what is going to happen, the movie throws something new at you and comes up with a good ending. I think this movie got overlooked when it first came out, because I can't even remember hearing about it. It's well worth a watch and has some good entertainment value. Don't expect twists on the level of M. Night, but a good mix of an interesting story and good characters.
"Maybe it's the burial ground.".
"What?".
"Read the brochure in there... it's all around us. 100 years ago the government moved these Indians here. They all died because there was no water.".
"And now they're coming back to life like sea monkeys, huh? Give me a break sweetheart, please.".
