Review of Identity (2003) by Cole M — 23 Jul 2009
Brilliant horror film that keeps you thinking that you know what's happening as soon as the script continually pulls the rug from underneath your feet.
The acting overall is good but the film cannot escape the typical horror running and screaming, pathetic nonsense that takes place for the majority of the running time. John Cusack stands out as the best in the film.
The ending was shocking. It destroyed the feeling that the film had been creating for the whole time. The problem is that after the credits have rolled, horrors are supposed to keep you guessing. Think of the Shining. This however just failed to create that feeling as everthing was explained and it just failed.
