Review of Ichi the Killer (2001) by Scott P — 30 Mar 2009
The second time around the film is significantly easier to watch. If you're not used to torture scenes in films, I wouldn't suggest making this your first. That aside there are several things and ways that Takashi Miike used to connect scenes that simply don't make sense, such as one character's random superhuman sense of smell.
it's an acquired taste for sure.
