In a gangland urban Japan, theres a psychotic killer with bottle-blonde hair that is the walking definition of sado-masochist. He speaks openly of his philosophy that the only way to truly inflict ultimate pain is to experience and embrace it while he and his gang of thugs scour the world of pimps and gangsters looking for their abducted boss.
But there is also a deadly enigma known only as Ichi that is cutting his own bloody swath through the criminal world with such violence and unprecedented gore-lust as to send shivers through the collective spine of the underworld.
Our sado-masochist finds his senses thrilled at the prospect of encountering the mysterious Ichi and enduring the ultimate climax of pain he has long sought, and as their paths grow closer the tension builds.
Many twists and turns await in this strange and intense film as well as some good cinematography. A must for seekers of good Japanese Thrill Rides.
