Review of Ichi the Killer (2001) by Ken B — 30 Jul 2010

Incoherent, misogynistic and utterly pointless. I haven't read the Manga and this film probably would have made more sense if I had. I honestly was lost in what the hell was going on. I didn't know who was in charge of what, it was just a ball of mess. I was actually on the verge of falling asleep, everything that happened in this film bored me to tears. I especially loved the rape scene in which the same woman get's beaten and raped twice. Every female character was either raped or a prostitute, sometimes both. I just didn't see the point of this. It reminded me of "Seven", how it tries to I guess shock me with gore and violence.

I just didn't care for this film it was boring and pointless.
