Review of Ice Station Zebra (1968) by Joan B — 02 Mar 2008
A well-meaning failure that is too retro for its own good. Plot information is meted out at a glacial pace, providing fleeting bursts of suspense throughout the film's military-porn first half and the events at the cheesy indoor ice palace that follow.
Patrick McGoohan gets most of the best lines and comports himself well. Lessons learned: when in doubt, shoot on location.
