IBoy is a finely acted movie that has some interesting ideas but ends up being mediocre amd generic. The first act of this film is actually decent. Of course you see the usual superhero origin story tropes but it does a few intriging things that keeps it interesting.
Once the second act kicks in, this film goes downhill. Frankly, it gets boring. The biggest flaw of this movie is though is overpowering the main character. He is never truly in danger. The good and acting and chemistry between characters isn't enough to save this one.
Skip it.
