Review of I Was Born, But... (1932) by Yuki A — 02 Sep 2009
Damn that Yasujiro Ozu, how he could make a touching and thoughtful but yet very simple about childhood and family. Even without sound, it doesn't lack any power or wittiness depicting the simplest thing about the simplest way we live our life in family.
Brilliant. Both the kids are superbly acted, and this movie is funny as hell.
