Review of I Was a Male War Bride (1949) by Brian R — 13 Aug 2009
" I am an alien spouse of female military personnel en route to the United States under public law 271 of the Congress.".
Charming screwball comedy starring the delectable Ann Sheridan and the incomparable Cary Grant - no-one does suave but fruity quite like him. The final scenes where he has to dress as a woman to board the boat bound for the United States are a joy, but my favourite bit is also the silliest, where he has great difficulty positioning his hand comfortably whilst falling asleep in a rocking chair. They don't make em like this anymore.
