Review of I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With (2006) by Steven B — 04 May 2008
I wouldn't say this movie was great, but it was nice for a sweet laugh. Jeff Garlin was very likable as an homage to "Marty"- the guy in the character's favorite movie of the same name.
Many moments on the film seem like they could happen in real life, even if they are absurd. Others, mostly in the first half-hour, don't seem to fit. Not many characters are fleshed out well except the lead, but the plot takes some unexpected twists and ends on a hopeful note.
I hope we see more from Garlin as a director.
