Review of I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With (2006) by Ben H — 12 Apr 2009
It was refreshing to see Sarah Silverman in a more sedate performance and Jeff Garlin in a lead role, but save for fans of one or both of these two performers, there isn't anything much of note in this film to speak of.
Garlin's character is likeable enough but I felt I'd seen tales of his type (approaching middle age, lonely, failing actors) before and done better. Honestly, one of the main perks of the film is seeing Silverman in her underwear; so generally unremarkable is the rest of the film.
It's likeable but not memorable.
