Review of I, Tonya (2017) by Chris C — 28 Dec 2017
Cliffnotes at times, but otherwise an enjoyable yet tragic account on the career of Tonya Harding. Margot Robbie & Allison Janey both shine in these roles, playing against a supporting cast portraying quite possibly the dumbest human pieces of garbage in existence.
Despite whether its narrative is fully reliable or not, it's hard not to even feel just the slightest bit of sympathy for Harding; seeing how an abusive mother, associating with imbeciles, and the judgments of a poisonous media completely fucked her mind, crushed her dream, and shunned her for life.
..is heartbreaking, to say the least.
