Review of I, Tonya (2017) by Sinead K — 06 Mar 2018
This is a great movie and probably one of my favourites of this year. This movie's razor sharp wit balanced with compelling drama creates an engrossing film that makes you feel deeply for the protagonist and the obstacles she faced.
Great performances all around, with particular nods to Janney and Robbie. Its decision to make it a dark comedy drama rather than a straight drama may not sit well with everyone but I felt they got the balance between humour and the more serious underlying issues just about right.
