This is either going to be just a bag of garbage or a work of misunderstood genius. I for one am leaning towards garbage but keeping a foot in the genius line. What this movie really just boils down to is one snuff moment after another with a few minutes of pre snuff to make you believe that you aren't watching snuff.

First off casting a girl who barely looks over 20 as an author just didn't strike me as realistic. But moving past that I found myself not giving a shit about what happens to her. Not because I'm sadistic.

Which I am but thatâ(TM)s neither here nor there. It's because I don't know this girl they give you nothing. The same goes for the redneck fuckers too. Their reasons for rape and murder are shallow and transparent.

Which leads me to the fact that this is a snuff film. Pretty much torture for the sake of torture and to try to out do what has been done before. This doesn't make for a good story. Now putting all that a side.

The good stuff. All the gore and violence stuff was extremely well done and immensely effective. Grade A. But I can't enjoy a movie based on that alone. So I stand in the middle. If you are interested in watching this then put it down and try to find The Last House on the Left.

Either original or remake. Though original is the better bet. You'll get the same revenge style torture violence but you'll find yourself caring for the characters which makes you enjoy the revenge all the better.
