Review of I Served the King of England (2007) by Guinevere R — 10 Oct 2007
Structurally, a decent adaptation of the book, though I did find that the lead character didn't quite evolve in a way that was suited to what he'd been through or caused.
Stylistically... the highly choreographed and theatrical nature felt a bit awkward or contrived at times. I liked the use of CG in a period piece, but thought the sound design left something to be desired. It felt noticeably unfinished in parts. Overall, worth a watch, but the book is better!
