Superb Czech movie about the rise and fall of a waiter/wannabe millionaire through the various political climates of Czechoslovakia in the mid 20th Century. Lots of good physical comedy moments, beautiful filming, and with a political and personal message.
See it, and better yet, read the Bohumil Hrabal novel first!
