The first thing I'll say is to not read the plot synopsis given here. It basically outlines the ENTIRE film. That being said, I Served the King of England gives an humorous yet touching take on life in Eastern Europe during the '30s, '40s, and '50s through the perspective of a young man as a waiter/server in various capacities.
