Review of I Saw the Devil (2010) by Derek P — 02 Oct 2011
I fucking LOVED this movie. It had Oldboy all over it, just jacked up on HGH and steroids. Immediately, it seems its going to be your run of the mill serial killer movie but you soon put that by you. The opening scene involved a car and a hatchet/hammer (not all too sure what it was) but it scared the piss out of me because I wasn't expecting it and I always watch my movies on surround sound.
The characters were amazing, especially the protagonist and antagonist. They both meet at the same plane by the end of the movie and that was my all time favorite thing with this film because it made it all too effective.
The kills were sick as hell and the emotion in them from the killer and his victims is always great. I could ramble on and on about this movie and I prefer not to, mainly because I knew little to nothing about this movie before I watched it and that was the way to do it because you have NO fucking clue what you're getting into.
