Review of I Saw the Devil (2010) by Late R — 24 Jun 2018
An essential Asian horror film and probably one of the best horror films since the 2010s. This is not your average serial killer pic, it's one with brains and drama, and an original story. It also has a gritty, feel to it and Choi Min-Sik is so disturbing as a demented psychopath.
And it's also full of impressive martial arts action scenes, as well as brutal gore and disgusting dismemberment and torture. It's impressive, but the only problem with it is that it's almost 2h30 long, which makes it long sometimes.
But overall, it's a pretty good movie and horror fans will have fun with the bloody shocker. Recommended !!
