Review of I Saw the Devil (2010) by Justin T — 15 Jan 2012

I wonder whom the title is referring to, because the antagonist and protagonist are equally as monstrous. The classic hunter becomes the hunted flick turned on it's head. Gruesome; on the edge of torture porn, but thankfully never quite goes there.

There are two sequences in this movie that deserve to be mentioned when talking about scenes of 2011. The one is stabbing in a moving taxi after Kyung-chul is released for the first time and the second is another car scene close to the end of the movie.

Haven't seen anything quite like it before. The end was a bit of a disappointment, but still one of the best pictures of 2011 4sure.
