Review of I Origins (2014) by Tess B — 19 Jul 2014
I'm surprised to see such bad ratings for this film as I think it did more than most films are capable of doing nowadays. Although I had a few problems with the writing (the constant foreshadowing, for example), by the end of the film I felt something and for the rest of the day I was feeling this thing and it was very innate.
Almost like the kind of core of the film - thinking vs. feeling, science vs. the things in life we just can't explain. As I said, 90% of films that come out now don't make you feel. This one, at least in my case, made me feel.
And for that I have to respect it.
