Review of I Married a Witch (1942) by Bob V — 25 Apr 2011
All rather silly but in a good way (almost verging on screwball but not quite -- a few too many stilted moments, probably Fredric March's fault). Veronica Lake makes a giddy witch, not as bothered by her interloping father Cecil Kellaway as Samantha Stevens would later be by Agnes Moorehead.
The plot: father and daughter witches are freed from an old tree where they had been imprisoned for 270 years and decide to wreak some havoc in the life of the descendant of their accuser; love happens.
