Review of I Married a Witch (1942) by Rajun K — 11 Nov 2013
This is basically the 1940s version of "Hocus Pocus," its timeless humor owed to absurd magical slapstick and the Veronica Lake performance at its heart. The most Buzzfeedable moment in the movie occurs when Lake's witch discovers the existence of waffles and spends an entire morning ordering them from her cursed target's maid.
Fulfilling a centuries-old vendetta can wait; it's time to get her Leslie Knope on!
