Review of I Love You Phillip Morris (2010) by Pierce B — 05 Apr 2012
I don't understand all the negative reviews of this film - it's an honest, straightforward little piece with some wonderful acting and an extremely solid story. Yes, it plays on gay stereotypes a bit, but it's not like it tries to become a celluloid representation of the entire "gay lifestyle" - all it does is cater to its characters, who are more than interesting enough to make this movie worthwhile.
And seriously, the acting really is fantastic - who knew Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor would have such flawless romantic chemistry? One of the best love stories of the past few years, by far.
