Easily Carrey's best, and Ewan McGregor is rarely better than he is here. smartly directed but even more smartly written, with twists and fake twists galore. Is there a pro-gay love story more mainstream than this thing? This has all the syntax of mildly-dark sex farce romcom, but the content is decidedly alt.
