Review of I Love You Phillip Morris (2010) by Ryan K — 04 Jun 2013
A very different approach to fraud, imprisonment and love. It is a windy journey with some aspects of sloppy film making. The beginning is rushed and in my opinion either should have been left out completely or just shown as bits and pieces through out the story.
In the heart of the film is an odd but very original love story. No ending is predictable, especially the one that occurs and the audience is just left rooting for the two lovers, maybe one more than the other.
Carrey is alright but leaves the emotions to McGregor. Seemingly it is a mess but at the root it is unique and and an alright story about never ending determination for love.
